On Sunday 26th June 2016.  The dialogue duo performed transcriptions from solo piano for Flute and Guitar.  It was a very beauticul concert indeed.  A perfect way to spend a summer's afternoon.

Saturday 1st October 2016 we heard the oustanding Glaswegian drummer Corrie Dick with his band in Little Mil Oast performing songs from his brilliant 'Impossible Things' Album.

The night ws just magical, the brilliant storytelling and the simply brilliant young jazz talent in the room was thrilling.

Watch this space as Corrie and hs band may well be back.......

On Saturday 27th May 2017 we welcomed Janusz Piotrowicz to Marden Church.  The Poet of the Piano delighted us with an outstanding Chopin recital

On Saturday 16th September the Oast witnessed a concert with some of the UKs best young talent.  With the avaerage age of 16 1/2, this New Generation Piano Trio group wowed us with their stunning musicianship.

They played - Gabriel Fauré Piano Trio in d minor, Op. 120 as well as Debussy's Piano Trio in G major.

Julian Trevlyan stunned us with an Étude from Claude Debussy and a Sonata from Scarlatti.

As a duo, Amber Emson and Willard Carter blazed with the Halvorsen Passacaglia (after Handel) and the neat duo from Stamitz in C Major Op19

May 2016 we performed once more in St. Michael & All Angels Marden with three amazing world class soloists.  Rudi de Groote played a sublime Haydn Cello Concerto No. 1, Sarah Sexton's dteahed beauty of Vocalise was stunning and Steven Devine's technical and revishing performance of Handel's The Nightingale and the Cuckoo Organ concerto was a delight for the ears.

In July 2015 Kate Semmens and Steven Devine treated us to a beautiful selection of English Restoration and Baroque Song.   Famous pieces such as Henry Purcell's Music for a While and If Music be the Food of Lovewere presented alongside a gem of a cantata by John Stanley, Pleasure Garden songs by William Boyce and Maurice Greene and other repertoire by John Blow, Henry Purcell and William Croft. Harpsichord solos by Henry Purcell, John Blow and Maurice Greene, played by Steven Devine.

We were delighted to welcome back the Paul Kimber Trio to the Oast. Since forming for us in 2013 the band have gone on to play many gigs including a lunchtime concert at the Royal Opera House and Robertsbridge Jazz Club.

Steven Devine & Kate Semmens

An Evening with the Bach Family.

June 28th 2014

We welcomed Steven and Kate to Little Mill Oast for an enchating evening imagining being in the company of JS and Anna Magdalena.

November 2013 we staged our second Classical Concert in St. Michael & All Angels, Marden.

Barber's Adagio for Strings was a highlight of the evening.

Helena stunned us all once more with her beautiful Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in D (the other one!)

In March, Gemma Sutton delighted us with a stunning concert from the America Songbook.  Joining her were Tim Evans on Piano and Paul Moylan on Bass.

Gemma wowed us and the intimate setting of the Oast meant that this concert was the place to be!

Congratulations too to Gemma on recently landing the lead role of Marian opposite Michael Crawford in the upcoming West End production of The Go Between.

In May 2015 we performed the wonderful Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings.  We also played Eine Kleine Nachtmusik in full.  And introduced everyone (including us!) to a lovely Schubert Rondo for solo violin and Strings!

In July we held the first concert of the Great Pattenden String Quintet.

It was a wonderful atmospheric concert which included Dvorak's string quintet No. 2

April 2014 - this was a very special concert guest Alison Martin Principal Harp of English National Opera.

We all enjoyed this very moving concert.

Our inaugral concert was held in April 2013.  We couldn't have hoped for better.  Our friend and virtuoso Helena Wood played the most stunning Four Season with such animation and character.

She and the Orchestra blew our socks off.

We were delighted to have the opportunity to hold an evening of Jazz at the Hall family's huge, resonant and still used Oast House near Marden.

The Paul Kimber Trio were formed for that concert and they have gone to perform together at venues such as the Royal Opera House and others.

Paul and the band returned in February 2015 for a rather freezing jazz concert at the Oast.  Well done and thanks to those who came!
